Term 3 has been filled with lots of exciting activities and there are still more to come.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Book Week activities. It was wonderful to see so many classes watching the short-listed books being read to them by a member of the Mareeba State School administration team each day. And it was amazing to see so many students and teachers dressed in costumes for our dress-up parade.
Under 8s Day will be held in Week 10 of this term – Thursday, September 15th from 9 – 11am under the Prep building (Z Block). All members of the Mareeba community who are under 8 years of age are invited to attend. The theme for 2021 is 'Play in a Changing Word'. Please spread the word among your friends and family in the community.
The annual Mareeba State School Art Show was officially opened on Monday, September 12th at 2pm in the school library. Community members and school representatives were in attendance. Feel free to pop in and have a look at the wonderful, amazing and outstanding art work that our students have produced.
Congratulations to all the students who have worked hard this term to complete assessment tasks. I am sure all parents will enjoy hearing about the industriousness and success of our students when attending parent interviews!
