This term has been packed full of many different trials for the Tablelands district teams. Across the many sports there has been an impressive number of students from Mareeba State School represented in these teams. The following students were chosen for the Tablelands District Team in their respective sports:
- Basketball - Zach Marinelli, Kobe Whiteside & Hailey Jaszczyszyn
- AFL - Jonty Taylor, Heath Maher, Augstine Plowman-Ah Chee & Rhys Dempsey
- Vic Jensen Rugby League - Nash Liaver & Harlem Tokarahi
- 11-12 years Rugby League - Deacon Williams & Heath Maher
- Golf - Cooper O'Brien
- Netball - Allegra Sciani
Some of these students also made the Peninsula team for their sport but there are also some Peninsula trials that are still to come, so good luck to those students.
We also had our school Cross Country carnival last week. Despite being a very hot day, all the students who participated did really well, had great races and the day was full of big smiles. Congratulations to team Mitchell who won the day, closely followed by Granite and then Barron. Well done to everyone who gave it a go and did their best.
