This term we have had the Peninsula Cross Country carnival for the students who came in the top seven places in our Tablelands District carnival. We had only one boy who had made it in as a shadow but they did not get the call up to attend the meet. We also had our Mareeba State School Athletics carnival last week. This was held over three big days with the upper school events on the Wednesday and Thursday as well as the lower school on the Friday. All three days went really well with lots of students showing up and participating, everyone had a great time and there were lots of smiles on little faces. There were no records broken this year but there were some great jumps done on the High Jump and Long Jump across the upper school and the lower school really showed some interest in their rotation activities having a great time. This year Mitchell won the competition followed by Granite and then Barron. Congratulations Mitchell.
