I Respect Safety: Follow Rules, Follow Directions

Arrows on the Footpath…  Why the Arrows? Because they show us the directions we need to follow.  We are currently in the process of getting more arrows.  This clearing shows our students the direction that needs to be followed so that it's easy to identify the areas that we need to be in.  With 800 students, it is difficult to remember where we should and should not be.  We will also be venturing out of the school grounds for Cross Country. For this event, not only do we need to follow the running course, but we will need to be following the MSS Respects and all expectations as we have a fun time with the run.

R & C Shop

We have done things a little differently from our usual Tricky Tuesday this Year.  Instead, we are writing a ticket per student for every 10 Pay Ways that they earn.  This ticket goes into the draw for a few different prizes.  It will not affect the students total Pay Ways they have in the 'bank'.

Zones of Regulation (Part of Social and Emotional Learning)

Students will be expanding their understanding of the Zones below. The focus is to gain awareness of others in the Zones.  So far, we have learnt; What we are like in the Zones, How others feelings can affect us, Expected and Unexpected Behaviour, Good thoughts vs Uncomfortable thoughts. Now it's time to see if we can recognise others feelings and what Zone they are in!  This will involve a lot of fun learning opportunities where we look at different characters from movies to identifying their Zones and Feeling, we will then move into why they feel like that and how to we should react.
