Everyday Counts!

As we draw closer to the holidays, it is important to remember that learning and assessments are still happening.  The message of Everyday Counts is still on the agenda.

Our school is currently sitting on 82.2% attendance this term.  I know that is not accurate due to COVID-19, but it is an indication of where we are at now.  We have some work to do to reach our school target of 95% attendance.  I believe we will come closer to that number in Term 3.  I have faith!

When we reset and come back in Term 3, we will look at running our 95% attendance celebration for the students who reach those individual targets.  Our ARTIE Academy Program for our Indigenous students will continue in Term 3 and 4 with challenges and targets to encourage better attendance.

Attendance is only part of our work, and the connections that we as a school have with families, agencies and community groups enhances our networks and conversations around why attendance is so important.

Student attendance and engaging in learning is the most crucial element of our work.  We thank you as parents, families and carers for your support in ensuring this happens.  Working together for our students is the work we need to continue.

If your child is experiencing issues or blocks and not wanting to come to school, please contact the office for assistance.
